The Baby K’tan’s unique two loop design holds babies more securely and is extremely easy to use - NO WRAPPING INVOLVED!  It is easy to put on and take off.   The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is made entirely of 100% natural cotton knit fabric.  The Carrier should fit snugly and securely on you and your child.  For optimal fit, wash and tumble dry - this enables the carrier to conform more snugly to your body.  If you are new to baby wearing, you may think the Carrier is too small, however, a snug fit is optimal for securely carrying your child and for good back support. The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is sized to fit the parent or adult who will be carrying the child. Age or weight of child is not a factor in sizing.
Many factors can affect sizing, accordingly, we have developed the following sizing chart and sizing tips to assist you in determining the correct carrier size for you and your baby.  If you are 5’4" or under: CHOOSE SMALLER SIZE           

SIZING TIPS
The carrier size generally corresponds to your fitted (tight) t-shirt size.  Each person is shaped differently, and like clothing, some people may fit into more than one size or fall in-between sizes on the above sizing chart.  The following additional sizing tips should be used as a guide to assist you in ordering the optimal size.

• If you fall in-between sizes on the above sizing chart, CHOOSE SMALLER SIZE.
• If you are petite - 5’4" or under - CHOOSE SMALLER SIZE.
• If you are pregnant, use pre-pregnancy size to determine appropriate carrier size. Carrier size generally corresponds to pre-pregnancy fitted     (tight) t-shirt size.
• Only choose larger size if you are 6 feet or taller
• The size of the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is not based upon your child’s age or weight. The cross-stretch of the cotton knit fabric and the eight different carrying positions enables the carrier to grow with your child. Accordingly, you should not require a larger size as your child grows and develops from a baby to a toddler (up to 42 lbs)
  

What is so unique about the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is a cross between a sling and a more structured front baby carrier, providing the positions and benefits of both, plus more!  Babies can be snuggled (and breastfed!) in the Cradle or Explore positions. They can be carried upright (facing in or out), and as they get older, they can be carried on your hip.  Infant twins can even be carried at the same time in the Baby K'tan Carrier.  There are eight versatile positions.  Also, unlike traditional slings which are comprised of one sash or loop of fabric, the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier’s second loop secures your baby snuggly to your body providing extra safety while on the go.  And, unlike most slings which concentrate your baby’s weight load on one shoulder, the BabyK’tan™ Baby Carrier’s unique criss-cross design and sliding support band distributes your baby’s weight across both of your shoulders and back providing back support.  No more back or neck pain.

Up until what age and weight can the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier be used?
Our Baby Carrier is tested for quality and safety for carrying premature babies all the way up to toddlers 3-4 years of age (42 pounds).

Is the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier safe?
Our Baby Carrier is tested for quality and safety under FHSA (Federal Hazardous Substances Act) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) guidelines. Every person who uses our Baby Carrier must read the instructions and warnings before using the Baby Ktan™ Baby Carrier.

How do I wash and dry my Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is 100% cotton knit and machine washable and dryer safe. Please follow these simple washing instructions:
Machine wash cold, Wash with like colors only. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry low. Make sure to wash separately before first use.


Will my Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier shrink after washing?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is made of 100% cotton knit. Accordingly, the carrier may shrink slightly after washing. However, the cross stretch of the cotton fabric enables our carrier to conform close to its original size. For optimal fit, wash and tumble dry.

Can I use my Baby K’tan™ Carrier right away with my newborn?
Yes. Our baby carrier is safe and secure for babies from birth to 3 years of age, and is excellent for preemies.

Can I carry and/or breastfeed twins at the same time?
Yes and yes! The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is great for use with twins because of its unique double loop design. These loops enable you to wear your babies for the first few months of their lives (generally comfortable for twins up to 10 lbs.) Is the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier adjustable?
Our carrier is available in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. We have designed our Baby Carrier to ensure the safety and comfort of both parent and baby. The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier has NO buckles, rings, snaps, metal or plastic hoops that could potentially come undone. When the correct size carrier is purchased, our Baby Carrier is structured to fit the wearer in a secure and comfortable fashion. Therefore, no adjusting is necessary. To get a tighter fit, wash and tumble dry.

Why is the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier comfortable and supportive for my back?
Unlike most slings which concentrate your baby’s weight load on one shoulder, the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier’s unique criss-cross design and sliding support band distributes your baby’s weight across both of your shoulders and back, providing much needed back support. The wide cross stretch cotton fabric can be spread over your shoulders to further distribute your baby’s weight. As your child grows older, he or she can be carried in the hip position, whereby your toddler’s weight is distributed on your hip, shoulder and back. Our unique design offers the wearer a 100% cotton carrier with NO buckles, snaps, rings or hardware, that would otherwise make baby wearing complicated and uncomfortable.

Can my partner and I wear the same carrier?
The Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier is offered in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. Please refer to our sizing chart to determine if you and your partner can wear the same size carrier, or if it is beneficial for you to order two different size carriers. We strongly recommend that each user finds the right fit.


Can the Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier be used for premature babies?
Yes, it can. Premature babies enter the world with fragile , easily over-stimulated nervous systems.  Parents attempt to find the proper balance to provide their baby with the sensory nourishment he or she requires for optimal development, while simultaneously avoiding over stimulation.  Infants that are carried in our Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier experience the stimulating sounds, sights and smells that their parent experiences, while at the same time, being tightly swaddled in a secure and comfortable position, providing safety and assurance to the premature infant.  Our carrier offers a gentle way of transitioning your baby from the calm environment of the womb to that of the outside world. Before using any Baby Carrier, always make sure you consult with your pediatrician regarding any health complications your premature infant may be experiencing. Can I use my Baby K'tan Baby Carrier in a wheelchair?
Yes. Since the Baby K'tan does not require any wrapping or buckling, it is the simplest solution for babywearing in a wheelchair.
