Holy Lamb Organics Quilted Mattress Topper- Deep Sleep, Full

$         410.00

Product Information

The Deep Sleep topper adds a little softness.Create a natural sleeping surface on top of a synthetic mattress.

Improve the quality of your rest by sleeping directly on a natural surface

Every synthetic mattress is required by law to contain fire retardant chemicals. Even a cotton futon. One solution to distance yourself from those chemicals is to use a mattress topper.

Studies have shown that your heart rate is lowered when you sleep on a natural surface, resulting in a deeper sleep.

Toppers are great for not only creating a natural sleeping surface, but for softening a bed.

We recommend our hand made wool-filled toppers because wool is the most breathable material for your body. We use Premium Eco-Wool™ sourced from our sustainable wool program using west coast U.S.A. wool, and only organic cotton fabric. Handmade & tufted with love.

The Deep Sleep Topper:
The perfect choice for adding a little more softness to your mattress, but not the full loft of The Ultimate Wool Topper.

Our Sustainable Wool Program

Locally Sourced:
Our wool is sourced locally from small USA sheep farmers on the West Coast. The majority of wool used in the bedding industry is imported from New Zealand and Australia, greatly undermining our own local farms and our economy. Support local wool!

Sustainable Practices:
The USA farmers who grow our wool practice sustainable farming practices- healthy choices that are good for people, land and animals. In turn, for following these best practices, the farmers are paid a fair price for their wool. It is a win win situation for everyone. For specific sustainable practices, please see Our Wool Mill.

High Quality Clean Wool:
Not all wool is the same. It depends on the machinery. Our mill produces the cleanest wool we’ve found, due their exceptional carding process. It employs additional breakers to produce a dust free and virtually vegetable matter free wool. We deliver the highest quality organic bedding to you and your loved ones.

Non-Itchy, Not Carbonized, Not Bleached:
Our wool does NOT go through a carbonization process nor is sheep dipping involved and it’s never bleached. We use a Medium-Fine wool blend which is the best loft for bedding and it’s not an itchy wool.

Our Wool Blends

The majority of our products use Premium-Eco Wool™ batting- our signature wool blend.

Natural wool is a timeless option for bedding. It’s actually been used for centuries. Our grandmothers knew the many benefits that wool provides, now you do too.

Why Is Wool Bedding So Great?

Wool is the most breathable filling material available, making it both cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It actually helps to regulate your body temperature.

Wool is a natural material; something grown, not made in a lab. Your body knows the difference. Wool surpasses synthetic fill in terms of quality and durability.

Dust Mite Resistant
Wool is a great choice if dust mites bug you or if you’re allergic. Dust mites can't live in wool due to microscopic bristles on the wool fibers.

Anti-Microbial & Anti-Bacterial
Amazingly, wool resists bacteria. It’s actually both antimicrobial and antibacterial.

Naturally Fire Resistant
Wool is fire resistant, providing a safe sleeping environment. Wool does not catch on fire and actually acts as a natural fire retardant.

A Renewable Resource, From Sheep
Unlike bedding that uses plucked down feathers, a sheep grows a coat of wool annually and is not harmed during shearing (it’s like getting a haircut).

Supports Small Farms And Farmers
Wool is a sustainable product and helps small farmers make a living.

Sustainable And Lasting
With proper care, your woollen bedding can last for decades.

It Stays In Place In Your Bedding
Wool batting, being one continuous piece, stays in place in our products and is hand-tufted to further secure it. This is unlike down bedding which shifts over time and creates bare spots in a comforter.

Certifications & Testing

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified
This organization established comprehensive rules for ecological and socially responsible textile production. A GOTS certification ensures the organic status of textiles from harvesting of raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, and then all the way to labeling in order to provide credible assurance to the consumer.

Since its inception in 2006, it's gained international recognition, enabling processors and manufacturers to supply their organic textiles with one certification, which is accepted in all major markets.

GOTS's logo and labeling system makes certification holders visible not only on the shelves of natural textile shops, but also in large-scale retail stores and brand dealers as well.
